What kinda creepy crawlers are these. Wonder if they would make good bait. What kinda fish would eat these. Any good methods for using them. Have you ever caught any fish on them. Got any pictures. Unscramble this fish for dinner. NUDEROLF.
Mike they are meal worms they are great bait for most any fish I have caught any thing from bass to fliers here in Fl. My two brother-in-laws in WV raised them in their cellars.
The best way I know to find out is to go fishing there and if you don't get shot it might be open. I went with my dad-in law, and Brother-in-law to a pond they said they had permission to fish, and all of a sudden I was alone when the owner arrived gun in hand. After we had talked awhile he gave me permission to fish there but to tell them other fellers he'd shoot them on sight. I never went back there though.
Hook up with a guide and see if he can find what you're doing wrong
That is my go to advice. So far it is the best advice I've seen on this one, even better than "Go Noles!!!" Guides first job is to put you on fish, their second is to teach you how to catch those fish, if you have a problem.
Granddaddy would say "Your just not holding your mouth right", or repeat after me "fishy, fishy, in the brook, come and bite my little hook" That one has worked more than once for me. You can holler "Go Noles!!!", but never even whisper "go gators" that works for sure, just ask my grandsons. "Hunker down dogs" seems to be neutral though.
I give most all my fish away. AND I always fillet them before I give them away. Needless to say they all want to know if I've been fishin lately. (hint, hint) Except for Tony my Air Force buddy. He likes to eat the whole fish. I just gut and behead them.
Never knew there was another way until I got out of the AF, except catfish. And then I learned to eat catfish head stew.
I got one of them for a neighbor too. I give them a lot of fish when I'm goin out regular and catchin.
People that let me fish their ponds are often repaid by some fillets of fish from their waters as I am leaving. As a result I got many calls asking when I was going fishing there again. Some times I will take fish to neighbors who I know would like to have them. That just makes me feel, plumb good.
Here is something else to consider about flying. My son in law had to fly one way from Jacksonville, Fl to Tennessee. He found that he could fly coach for $150, but he would have to pay extra for carry on and each other piece of baggage. It was going to be close to $300 for him. My daughter got him a first class ticket for $250, and add ones cost nothing, not to mention the comfort.
