Here in the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, the crabs bury themselves in the sand and hibernate until very late winter (Late March) or April.

What is this little guy. Where do they live. Do they make good bait. What kinda fish would eat them. How do you catch them. Unscramble this and they will keep you warm
RHESTALM

It is a Fiddler Crab and is a great bait for Sheephead and Tau Tog (Blackfish) fish. You catch them at low tide in areas that expose mud flats at that time. Some bait stores carry them, but are rather expensive.

It is what it is, and $600 is my limit, or it's back to the float tube.

Sorry but, a Yak at that price will not hold up very well and not last long.

Used a staple gun, folded the carpet over and stapled it on the back side, with long staples, worked good!

It you decide to go the staple way, make certain that the staples you use are “Stainless Steel” .

I'm just going to say ugly stik is probably not the best option at the price. It's fine for catfish but it can make things difficult for bass fishing as it is very heavy and has the sensitivity of a garden hose. Personally I think you'd be better off spending another $10-15 and getting a Daiwa Aird X. Just my 2 cents. If you do go with an ugly stik, I'd get the 7'. It'll help with casting distance

If you think that Ugly Stik rods are too heavy, you have not looked at them recently. They are very light these days.

You can install a new top guide where it broke and it will work.

Doing this you will end up with very stiff rod; most of the rod flex is in the top third.

Use the Bloodworm Flavored Fish Bites, they work almost as well.
