Lots of good info here. I personally use both Power Pro and Suffix 832. Both are good options. I also use Power Pro V2 which is an upgrade on the regular Power Pro. Might be worth checking it out...
We used to use Borax to help toughen up eggs. Might try some on a little bit of your dough and see if it works...
Might check out "Eastern Washington Fishing" Facebook site. Often good info on there.
I use a simple Excel spreadsheet to log my fishing adventures. I track categories similar to those OldBassGuy listed above. Location, Date, weather, Technique, Types of fish, and Comments which is kind of a catchall category for details I think might be useful. Give it a try and see if there's value to you over time. It's minimal extra work and allows me to refer to past trips and details than may fade over time.
I read it's been hit and miss for trout at the net pens at Rufus.
Steamboat Rock State Park is a nice, family friendly camping area with good access to a boat launch. Good luck and enjoy!
Roosevelt or Waitts Lake might be good opportunities
The Fish-n-Fool is a great knot!
I use swivels frequently. Not always. Fish don't seem to care either way...
Great update...thanks for sharing the info. Good luck!
