I am a senior old guy living in Colorado Springs and looking places to fish for warm water species. Formally lived in Central Texas and miss the bass and catfish fishing.

Welcome to the Stage mcorbett. Thanks for the picture. Those are nice looking bass you have there. I am on the other side of the mountains from you so not any help with locations you are seeking. There are quite a few members from the Front Range here and help should be along. Meanwhile I highly recommend the fishing proclamation and CPW for answers to lots of questions. They are good at what they do even for a government agency. Again welcome sir, we love stories and pictures so jump right in any old where.

Mc. You can try Pueblo Reservoir to your South. Up north there is Cherry Creek and Chatfield Reservoirs. There are others in the Denver metro area and north of Denver. Contact a tackle shop in Colorado Springs for more information .

You can drive a few miles north to Monument. Monument lake has a variety of fish, including catfish and bass. This is free fishing weekend in Colorado, so this place will be packed. More information at: https://townofmonument.org/Faq.aspx?QID=84

Brush Hollow near Penrose is the closest for bass and walleye, pueblo for cats, by the dam or in the river.
