The M&G was a resounding success and a good time was had by all. My hats off to Rhyno for organizing the whole thing. Thank you very much Ryan! I think everyone showed up with great and friendly attitudes and we all left with new friends. Thanks to Jeremy for some delicious breakfasts!
And I’m so grateful to Garey (OBG) and NoCal Steve for getting me out on the water! Thank you guys very much.
Hanging out by the fire at Denny’s (40Grit) place was a blast. Oh and the fishing was just the mutual theme that got us all together.
Well it was the last hour of the last day and it was 1-0, Garey 1 bass, me zero. The wind was picking up again and the clouds were rolling in. Garey motored us over to one last fishy looking spot out of the wind with reeds sticking up and shoreline brush. I turned to the captain and asked what would you throw? He replied with a question: “What do you think I catch most of my fish on”? So I picked up my wacky senko and made one last cast. I let it sink, then I went to lift it an inch or two. It felt like maybe another snag in the reeds, but I set the hook anyway because those are free. And it was fish on!!

Last hour Last fish
Last hour Last fish...

Great narrative Tim! Was so glad we had the chance to spend time together, both on and off the water. I think I was as happy as you were when you got that fish! Just watching you fight it and then getting it into the net made my day. Can't think of a better way to close out the trip. You are a great friend and a very nice person. We will do it again, God Willing.

Tim... it was great having you in my boat. I hope it wasn't to bad watching me hobble around the boat! One of my missions in life is to get you on some epic bass fishing. I went searching on Sunday but was more of the same. Good luck with the new house and I know our paths will cross again soon. BTW, my son and I had a 25 fish day on Tuesday of this week.

Thank you Steve. I hope you get your knee fixed up good. I will check on you. What date is your surgery, I know you said in June?
I appreciate the time together and your efforts to get me on the fish. Knew it would heat up for you soon.
Thanks again and we’ll keep in touch buddy.
