Mornin Troy, AL, and all. The garden is looking promising Troy. I'll get mine turned soon. Local farm supply is getting me some candy onions on Friday. I may try some lima beans this year ..

Much cooler today, only 46 for the high and 27 tonight..

The thru-hull fitting for my live well showed up yesterday. Drilled hole and sealed in place with new hose last evening. Have a second bilge pump coming as well as NMEA network cables and then I'm about finished crawling around inside this thing for now.

Time to get ready for work. Have a great day all!!

Good morning all. Troy, you’re garden soil looks really good, appears you’ve amended it with some good organics. I think I’m going to let my vegetable garden idle this year. Between the raccoons, rabbits, groundhogs and deer I’ve been getting wiped out. Even though I installed an electric fence the deer simply jump it, guess KD have to jack it up from its current 5 foot height to around 7 or 8’ to deter them. Hope everyone has a great day.

Just 10-10-10 fertilizer and lime then tilled it in real good and set my rows (6 short rows) I use lime and when the fertilizer stops the lime keeps feeding. Water often if no rain. Spray for bugs and worms.

Collards from last year. I just kept them watered and sprayed about every 3 days to keep the bugs and worms from destroying them. There is a stream underneath it but I don’t know how for down.

The way your garden looks I thought you were in CA, AZ or FL. I don’t plant anything until after Easter. Temps are still in lower 30s at night. I love peas but they don’t do well here. Gets too hot for them too soon.

Good morning to all. 38* and mostly cloudy for the day , but no rain in the forecast. Have to check the garden today and see if it's dry enough to plow.if I can get the heavy plowing finished I can set the new section of fence. Going to 6 feet from 5. Brda, I'm going to put a second line if fencing wire inside about 2 feet and use it to tie up my tomatoes on a trellis. I'm hoping the extra width will be enough to keep the deer out. Troy have you ever used BT spray on your greens? It's the same bacterial stuff they use for grubs in the lawns. You I spray it on, when the cabbage worms eat it they get a blood disease. Best part is once you use it , it gets in the soil and after a couple sorays it's self sustaining. I used it on broccoli and it kept the loopers out of the heads.

Looking good Troy!
Just curious...did you see that post about NC Fishing Authority planning on closing some of the creeks by you for commercial oystering?
