Well guys, got up here bout1230. Had lunch and dropped Sue at the library. Went to the house and it was bad.
There was 3 feet of packed snow and ice in the driveway. I had to use a steel shovel and break it all up and then run the snowblower.
It took me 4 1/2 hours just to clear the drive big enough for my truck.
My wrists are killin me now, tonight.
Between chopping the ice and manhandling the snowblower I'M SORE.
The walk way was even worse. There was 4 feet of ice and snow so I just worked shoveling a path over the top and made stairs to climb up to the path and down to the porch. Even that took 45 min.
OH well, such is life. Just glad I'm still able to do it.
There's close to 7 feet of snow in the yard and the other side of the driveway.
Bout 6 feet on the roof also.
I took a few pics before but none after. I'll take some more tomorrow.
The last pic you can kinda see how bad the walkway is.
Think I'll go to bed early. πŸ€”πŸ˜„πŸ‘

Good to see you have power and even better that the house didn't collapse from the weight. That is some serious snow heights there Steve. Thanks for taking the time to take pics and post them. Hope a good nights rest was beneficial because it looks like a lot more work today.

Wow Steve, that's a he!! of a lot of snow! Don't overdo it buddy, especially on the roof. As others have said, pace yourself, and stay hydrated. I'm sure it's beautiful during the warm weather, but not worth that kinda winter, to me.
Be safe my friend.

Well guys and gals, I'm rested up but unsure what to do today. I tried to get in touch with our roofer but he didn't answer the phone this mornin. Can't say as i blame him .
The garage and one of the bathrooms has developed a leak.
Not too worried about the garage but the bathroom concerns me.
I put a garbage can under the one in the garage but the bathroom is a different story.
Hasn't ruined anything yet but it's 14* outside right now. As soon as it warms up enough for things to thaw out its gonna start leaking again.
If I try to clear the snow off that part the snow from the peak will just slide down and cause more problems.
Hopefully my roofer will have some good advice.
I'll keep y'all posted. β˜ΉπŸ‘Ž

Steve, on that bathroom leak check the pipes roof flange when you can get to it. The rubber around the pipe may have cracked. Easy fix is to purchase a new flange and slide it on until better weather. If that is the fix let me know and i will explain what you can do without replacing the existing flange.

Ok, thanks. Waiting to hear from my roofer.
Not sure if I'll be shoveling the roof off yet.

Roofer suggested that I shovel the roof.
I started it and have some of the edges knocked down some but not even close to bein down to the roof..
Took a couple of pics of the finished drive and a pic of this icicle out our livingroom window. Kinda looks like a whale tail.πŸ˜„πŸ˜―πŸ‘
