Here is a link Crappie will usually bite on small plastic Jig head lures swim bait. Minnows and Shad lures or live minnows. Need to figure out what their natural foods are in the location you want to target them. White or off white can be pretty effective because it is easily seen. Color of lures are the variable once you hook one there usually is many many more. They usually like cover to hide as well as reduce current therefore save energy. Crappie are always in a School you won’t find them by themselves generally. Hopefully you have a fish finder and maybe are quite familiar with programming it.

I've slain limits of crappie with a small jig and skirt. Seems like the "metalflake" ones do best. Works every bit as good as minnows.
