Thought the crappies would be on fire today, had low light, a little chop and a front moving in later this evening. Did Ok keeping 5 from 9.5 to just shy of 12”. Entertained by the antics of the geese and ducks, they’re pairing up and the drakes and ganders are getting into some competition for the hens. Quacking, honking and in general “butting heads”. 4 nice hours on the lake.

Thanks woodguru, crappies and gills are my two freshwater fish. Do like perch, walleyes and trout but given my druthers I’ll take gills and craps every time.

Thanks Fred, no monsters like that 2.5 you caught. That still haunts my dreams.

Always bleed them Mike, gotta agree. Just like a pig or steer. Do the same with all other species of fish.
