New Jersey Fishing

When I went fishing in 46 degree Carnegie Lake this evening, a young fisherman was fishing on the Aqueduct with 8 rods. After I told him that 3 is the max, he put away 5 rods. Saw 15 fishermen catch crappies and shad. I caught and released 4 gizzard shad, 3 black crappies, 3 yellow perch and 2 white perch. Landed 1,087 fish in 51 trips this year. I’m still using my fifth container of worms.

You are a fish whisperer.
Nice job saving the youngin a potential fine and loss of equipment. I hope he took it well.
Nice pictures. A relaxing looking area.

That arrow is where a fisherman caught and released a 9 lb 9 oz bass a few years ago in March. The NJ state record largemouth bass lives in that lake.

That’s funny I I happen to leave the cursor in that spot when I took the Picture of the screen . Can you put a kayak in there and is there a launch point if so ? I doubt I’ll ever get up there from cap May but it’s good to know just in case

There is a boat launch in the Millstone River and you can launch a kayak in the lake. There is a lot of gizzard shad in the lake now. My friend recently caught and released an 18.5” black crappie on the Aqueduct. I go duck hunting in Cape May County. Try kayak fishing in Mercer County.
