Stacker.com used information collected data supplied from the National Fish and Wildlife Service and compiled a list of number of persons who held eather a fishing license, tag or stamp, out of 100 people.
It's no surprise that Alaska holds the #1 spot with over 51 percent
But what state holds the #2 position with over 47 percent of it's population holds eather a fishing license, tag or stamp?
The answer will come tomorrow and will surprise you as well.
Until tomorrow.

that would be my guess as well lower general population and lots of hunters and fishing which should give a higher percentage than states that have larger cities

I'm gonna say JB134's stomping grounds--Montana.
Iβm going with Brad by guessing MN!
Wyoming. Hapycamper gues it to be #27. I donβt think it would be that far down. Just a wild guess.

DCG : That would be my guess as well. But judging from the #'s we have here, and the size of the State's population, I'm thinking maybe Pennsylvania? I'm not gonna cheat, but I'm dying to know.
I'm figuring on lots of water, not too many people and fewer cities with other things to do would be a key. Wild gues, MN

It's probably not NJ because I tried three times to buy a license online yesterday and the website kept offering hunting, crabbing, etc. but NO plain fishing. I'm calling the # today. No stores near me sell them.
I'll go with Pennsylvania.
