Nice batch of white perch.
Not sure what it would take to lower the whites population.
Some lakes tell people to kill or keep 👍
Caught these in the upper Chester River
..no limit in Maryland rivers but my personal limit is 25.

I'll have to give the a try. I want to get my GS off the couch .
What is a good bait for catching White Perch? How do you rig for them?
I use a basic top and bottom rig with between a 2 to 1 ounce sinker. I like the gold long shank spinner hooks in a #4 or so in the rivers. In the spillways a small jig with grass shrimp, worms or small minnows with a bobber works great. When they get thick in the spillways just a jig and various rubber grubs work great. Some guys use a tandem rig with 2 jigs.
Thank you for the advice.

White perch will hit just about anything. Our favorite rig is either a Beetle Spin tipped with a minnow or a Tony Acetta spoon tipped with a minnow. Sometimes we'll throw a minnow out under a bobber.
Congratulations! Good eating fish. Has anyone fished the Tuckahoe river near Rt.404 for perch, crappie, etc?
