No, unfortunately. Moved away back in 1973 to go to college and have lived elsewhere since. Back to visit family over the years, but most of my siblings alsoare now moved away and folks are now deceased. I live in SoCal now chasing grandkids and taking them fishing!

My youngest brother still lives in San Rafael and has kept me posted on all the rain. I bet those lakes up there are pretty topped off!

Why not take quick pic of fish still in water with hook on? I agree to minimize time out of water and just the act of holding upright may be bad as well, esp. for larger fish (?).

Agreed. Just do not find it necessary to take pic of 9 to 10inch planters. I know that they are prevalent in this lake and I do my best to insure their survival upon hooking them. This lake is known by the locals to have a small population of large hold over rainbows. That is what I am fishing for. If I am lucky enough to ever catch one of those elusive fish,. I will definitely take a pic and do by best to release it unharmed so another fisher can experience it.Love to see the planters reach that stage.👍

Unfortunately, most of them will not. They will be caught, cooked and eaten first.
Did y'all go out there today?

Saw/Still.... you guys getting any info on the Striper bite? I'm not hearing anything other than the water visibility is improving at 1 to 2 feet. I don't know if it's a lack of people fishing or people catching?

Spoke to the folks at Rio Vista bait and tackle this morning. He said Fishing is relatively slow. The fish that are being caught are on bait. He did say that some are finding fish tossing rattle traps in the Montezuma slough area. Don’t know if this rain that we are getting is gonna help things. Im thinking hopefully things will get a lot more promising in a couple of weeks. Plus like u say, I don’t think a lot of people are trying. When the bait shop picks up the phone in two rings at 6:30 in the morning not a lot going on!!

Sorry Steve. Haven't heard of much goin on over here either. Brad and I were out on the Pet last Sat and we never even got a bite.
Don't know if we'll try tomorrow or not. I'll call Brad in a little bit and see if he wants to try .
