Great question- so I used to fish for everything that swam in the UK- Carp, Tench, perch, pike, Crucian Carp, Grayling, Trout, Salmon, Arctic Char, Bream, Roach, Rudd, most of which are specific to N Europe

Welcome to the stage and congratulations on your citizenship. Beautiful dorado and excellent eating. I bet it’s pretty interesting working in the aviation industry for RR. Most people think of RR as an auto manufacturer and don’t realize the companies history. I would like to think the Merlin was probably the most significant engine in the company’s history. It definitely helped win the Second World War.

Welcome to the USA... as well as this Forum Roger UK! It sounds like you have had a great experience in the UK with fishing pursuits, and I suspect that you have also been enjoying what can be caught here in the States as well!

Have you caught a peacock bass yet Roger, I've lived in Florida for 64 years and not caught one yet. I tried a few times with no luck. You don't have far to go to try for them.
