Good morning, Mike, and welcome to the Forum. That fish would be a Sea Robin. They don't get very big and I have never tried one to eat, but people say they are very good. Congrats! Thanks for sharing. We do love pictures.

I have a $100.00! Look it up.
sea robin. Stick with flyguy, he knows his fish. I, too, heard they're good eating. Used to catch them all the time off of the Jersey shore. Occasionally off the Gulf beach here in FL, but they're always about 2" long, not much to filet.

Ah oh, NJ219 might be very right. Hey fly, send him the hundred. Problem is we cannot see the dorsal. I'm pretty sure the sea robin has two, toadfish has one long one. Nice job "N"!
I vote with bucky buckner
Batfish
You got it Mike. Sea Robins have round pectoral fins (wings).
