Never been to Argyle lake before. Crappie fishing any good recently?

Seems I was there years ago, isn't it somewhere in the McComb area ?
Agyle Lake is a State Fish and Game area about 8 miles west of Macomb, IL. It is nota terribly large lake but very scenic and the crappie, bass and catfish fishing is usually not bad. If you are in the area, another good option is Speing Lake about the same distance south of Macomb. It is a smaller lake but in a beautiful wooded setting with good fishing as well. Both lakes have excellent camping areas. Both lakes are trolling motors only.

Argyle lake is not trolling motor only. Just a no wake zone.
