I messed up...
I’ve been fishing at a spot at wrightsville beach and it’s been going well, just catching croaker and mullet and stuff like that but I wanted to see if I could catch any big fish with a penn level wind 9 that I found in the garage....I tried cleaning the inside and let’s just say it came apart a lot easier than it goes together
Any advice?

How bad is it? You can always look up schematics or maps of how the stuff goes back together. You may be in over your head though

not too bad....maybe like 10 fairly large parts to go back in and it’s only one side

Hey buddy, look up a tutorial on your reel on Google. The name of the man who does this tutorials is "Alan Tani".

Let's just say I tried taking apart a baitcaster the other day, to grease something in the handle.
I ended up buying a new reel.

Sounds like a very good reason to buy a new one.
Then put the old one back together atleast keep trying.
Hey Cf10, Are you catching anything else at wrightsville beach other than what you mention? Over here on North creek it has slowed down quite a bit in regards to trout. Then again drum anywhere haven't been up to legal and the flounder with the stripers can not keep anyway. Real bite in the butt just fishing for one species.
Take to a friend 1st, look up schematic 2nd and when that all fails take it to a repair shop, if it's worth it. Which it probably isn't.
Google it . . . It's always saved my ass when I screw mine up somehow...

I agree....Alan Tani is definitely a guru when it comes to assembling ANY reel, and if you have questions on a particularly complicated reel, he lists his number...he rebuilt an Avet two-speed of mine, and I called him personally and thanked him for the great work and super performance of the reel...
