New to area. (lake Havasu)
Looking for advice on fishing for stripers and large mouth bass in lake Havasu. Did a lot of fishing for large mouth bass in the rivers of northeast Oklahoma when I was growing up. Not to familure with fishing lakes.

Welcome to the Stage JVL. We've got some members down that way, they'll be along.

Welcome to the stage, I wish I was one of those that could hook you up, but I’m not. Good luck and tight lines!

Welcome to the stage JVL. Sorry I can't help you out either. Google and YouTube are great resources. Check with local bait shops. How are you fishing are you fishing from a boat or from the shore?
JVL,
Google Lindner's Fishing Edge Lake Havasu and Lake Mohave. You should find several you tube episodes on smallies. Also there is a local tackle shop there that is usually helpful. Jarrett Edwards Outdoors sometimes does shows on Havasu largemouth. So does Fishing With Johnny Johnson. When I first retired to Arizona I hired a guide with a friend for a couple days. It made a big difference in the learning curve.
Start by getting a map of all the fish habitats installed in the lake, that will give you a good starting spot, then depending on time of year start to branch out, going up river can be good but can also be dangerous so use caution. Miles of tules to fish, tons of rocky points and grass flats again depending on the time of year. Talk to the local tackle shop there, that will help you out
Never thought I’d one day hunt bluegill but watch YouTube videos of Ty PigPatrol…fishing sunfish at Lake Havasu. Gonna try to get up that way soon.

Good luck. Enjoy it. March 15th it’s 90’. Feels like the first day of 100’.
See ya down the lake.

I kayak fish on Havasu every 2 weeks and plan to be there Wed/Thurs. Usually spend time on the south shore as it's just so gorgeous but the fishing has been tough there the past month or more. Check the bass shop in town and good luck, they can recommend lures, they have a huge assortment.
