I’d fish with you in a heartbeat but it’s a bit too much of a commute for both of us. I have Saturday and Monday off and I’m having a hard time getting anyone to go sit on the ice and fish through a hole with me. Maybe I’m not as much fun to hangout with as I think I am…

What kind of fishing do you like to do? I live in riverbank and mostly fish for bass. Delta and foothill lakes.

Ha ha. You know that’s how you catch a polar bear. You cut a hole in the ice and put some meat by the edge. When the polar bear comes up to eat the meat you run up and kick him in the icehole.

I would love to wet a line with you also.

I heard it," You cut a hole in the ice and put peas all around the hole. When he comes over to take a pea you kick him in the icehole."

Ha ha, I like your version better.

Who knows, I may actually retire some day and we could end up having a chance to have an adventure.

Retire! Are you getting any younger? The best thing I did was retire early.
My BIL that I was in the service with in the early '70s was VP of his company and he was probly the healthiest of us all. Rode his bicycle up to 20 miles a week. He was 72 back in 2018 and he suddenly died from a virus that got around his heart. They couldn't do anything for him when he went in to get a checkup cause he wasn't feelin well for a few weeks. They care flighted him to the hospital in Dallas and he lost consciousness and never came too.
My point is he never retired and he could have years earlier but chose not to.
There's more to life than work. However, I understand that sometimes you HAVE to keep workin. Thankfully I didn't have to.

I am retired and live in Oakhurst and on occasion fish New Melones and Don Pedro and I'm pretty much just a bass fisherman at least in Ca. Those lakes are a bit far for me so it doesn't make sense to drive that far when it gets dark so early and gas is over $4 a gallon. Also, I have a buddy I fish with so I'm not available that much. I'll try to see if I can figure a way to save your info where I can find it if I can remember. You have a Bass Pro right there in Manteca that I've been to a couple times when I didn't want to fish in the rain but wanted to do something fishing related. Lol. I think you can buy a boat on a 10 year plan so if you get into it, that might be an option. Btw, welcome to the Stage.
