Morning all, The crick in my neck that started Sunday morning turns out to be Arthritis in the joint below my scull and C1 vertebra. It's pinching several nerves and causing muscles to spasm with not a lot they can do without cleaning out some of the spurs. The Doc. started my on a steroid pack yesterday with hopes it will reduce some swelling and take some pressure off the nerves and hopefully give a little room in there. Now it's hard to move my head to look to either side or even open my mouth very wide. I know this is miserable and severely cutting into my fishing time. With a little luck the steroids will get me back on the water soon. I'm right in the middle of a stem cell procedure for my back and the Doc. hopes this will help that area some too and he's not alone hoping it'll help.

Ivey - I hope you find some relief soon. I know what it's like to be hurting everyday. My relief hasn't started yet. Take care of yourself.

Hopefully the therapy will help the problem, not just cover up the symptoms.

Prayers for all you guys and gals dealing with chronic pain. If we hurt like this in our 60s, 70s, 80s what did Methusila cope with?

Thanks G I hope you're relief is coming soon too, it sucks to be cooped up like this and I know yours has been longer than mine. Strange how fast things can go from good to bad, just a reminder that no one has a promise of tomorrow so you better make every day count.

Thanks FT, it's been amazing how well the stem cell therapy has worked in the past for my back and hopefully it'll cover some of this problem too. During the procedure, which takes around 5 months I can't take any anti inflamitories/Celebrix of even Aleve so hopefully when I can start back on this I'll get over this But MRI it didn't look that great.

From what I understand Methusila and many of those guys who lived the extended lives were closer to Adam, Gods perfect man. The further we get away from that perfection the more ails and shorter lives we have. I can't imagine 900 years in the shape I'm in now

Absolutely Ivey. No guarantee we'll finish the day so live it. Tim McGraw song Live life like you are dying. We all know that day will come. Many of us have issues we're dealing with n it sucks. Every morning I get up I'm thankful I have another chance at fun n adventure. Chylo gets up n wants her belly rub. Then I tell her it's time to go outside n say good morning world. Good luck to all that are hurting n waiting on treatment. Enjoy what you can have fun when you can. Stay safe Y'all 🌞🌞🌞

RJS, It's not the getting old that bothers me, it's the falling apart thing that really hurts. Getting old ain't for sissies.
