Fishing crappies in Polk County, FL.---Before I left to come north for Christmas I mentioned a little about crappie fishing in central FL.---the crappies were in a pre-spawn, spawning, and post-spawn pattern---every fish I caught had some kind of eggs---I was catching crappies anywhere from 8-9' into 3' water---has anything changed?--I expect, the good Lord willing, to be back on the water around Dec. 29-30-- I will share my experience if it matters to anyone---thanks guys, dave

Hi Friends--I finally got back on the water yesterday, fishing Central FL. crappies---I got on the water, and at the first place I like to fish the wind made it impossible to fish---I moved out of the wind---saw some brush in 14'-16' of water---anchored up and started to catch some crappies---water temp was 67---I had a small pink jig tipped with a minnow---I usually keep around ten fish 10" or above---kept 11, a couple of fish a little shorter were injured---I fished 1 crank off the bottom---fish were full of eggs---ck you later---dave
