Prepared for tomorrow! Caught 12 bluegill for bait and caught 2 bonus large mouth bass, returned the Bass to the lake 8" and 11 3/4"...undersized and in Texas we may not use game fish for bait. Posting a pic. It is very hard to take a selfish with one hand and hold the dang stringer in the other. Lol.Second pic is my fishing shoreline...limestone slabs. The bass were caught on the same tackle as the bluegill, bobber, weight and #3 hook with a piece of worm.

That little lake is T&P Lake in Callahan County. It is named T&P (Texas and Pacific) because the steam locomotives would fill up with water there.

Thanks, I've never heard of it (till now lol).
We have visited a lot of Texas, but not in your area, looks like some good fishing, also a nice bit of trivia

Nice catch. Bluegill are my favorite bait. You know when you get hit it is a gig one.

I haven't seen a snake since the one I used for bait.
I am thankful for that.

HAHA Most people hold up one fish and try to take a selfie. You got the whole stringer!
Nice Job.

Last I heard you went to Lake Lanier, GA to visit Kin. I haven't seen hide nor hair from ya in quite a while. I was tempted to PM you to see that you are okay.

Very Happy to hear from you again!

Good luck with the Catfishin'

Tropical Storm Pamela should bring low air pressure and intermittent rain later this week.
Be careful.
Good Luck.

And of course Tight lines,

BD

Now that is indeed a trophy sized stringer of fish! Going to be plenty of bait from those bluegill! Nice looking place to fish...a solid spot to stand or sit in a chair and relax! I suspect that you may also go for cats from there...or perhaps that is another spot? Thanks for posting!

[quote=CamT]Thanks, I've never heard of it (till now lol).

It is a canoe, yak, tubing lake no gas motors. Currently has Texas lotus blooming at one end. The most unusual fishing rig I ever saw out there was a small johnboat with a cordless leaf blower at the back of the boat pushing it thru the water.
Across the lake is railroad right of way. Public cannot fish from the bank on that side. Probably more than you ever wanted to know...
