Well guys and gals, got up at 0600 made and ate breakfast and hit the beach around 0730. That was a couple hours ahead of low tide. Tried to find some fresh mullet for bait but didn't see any proud. Bottom line, a beautiful day, not to many flies and caught 5 flounder, none of which were legal.

A little something to celebrate the end of the day

Nice to read your posting...even though the fishing has not been stellar. That sunset is a beauty. As we often say...catching fish is the ultimate reward for our preparation...but there are MANY other benefits that we glean during our pursuit as we take it all in stride....

Best wishes for the morning when you get to it again!

Looks like you had a beautiful day Ft, catching 5 off of the beach is pretty nice…even if they weren’t keepers. Beautiful sunset.

Good Morning Ft. Flounder season ended on the 14th on the inner banks. Is it open on the outer banks?

Thanks Landy. Got in one last shot this morning. Now I'm heading home. The tides are running bassavkwards to the bite, so my next shot would 8 around 2000 bours.

Started his therapy yesterday. They're saying another three weeks. He's going bonkers!

I can imagine so. At least he has started the recovery and not just waiting for the healing.

I need him to help get my sailboat mast home from the repair place. Can't manage that yet.

Getting it home is just half the battle i assume. Mounting is most likely involved i take it.
