Kenneth: You have come to the right place. We are almost 50,000 strong so there is a lot of lore, experience, and wisdom, along with some good natured bull shipping. The secret to being a successful fisherman is having a ton of patience. While others may offer advice, most of your success will depend upon how patient you are and how dedicated you are to finding and catching fish. If you have friends who are experienced fishermen they are a good resource as to where, when and what to do. Just Sayin...RJS

Welcome. There are plenty of lakes to fish in Oklahoma. If you are looking for information, start at the Wildlife Dept & State Parks.

Hi Kenneth, I just hopped on this site last night and still learning my way around. This is a great forum with lots of good people. Enjoy it and lots of good luck with your fishing. I am going by the name Govna. My fishing is mainly in the Outer Banks of NC, all saltwater.

Glad I found you again. Wanted to tell you, if you really want to catch a big drum take a short ride down to Oregon Inlet and fish chunk baits at night. The ramp to the beach is directly across from the marina before the bridge. The drum in my avatar came from there. Caught a nice speck there the same day.

Oh man, thank you Fly ! I know the place quite well and not too far from my location. I need to renew my off road permit and get out there. I want to catch a big Drum so badly and have tried to no avail. I have used mullet hunks and heard that a live, small Blue Crab is the ultimate bait. I have not tried at night, maybe that has been why I have had no luck. How about the tide, outgoing high or incoming high ?

Ive had some in and out, even a few daytime. I think the best has been incoming after sundown.
