Hey guys. I'm not nearly as skilled as most of y'all when it comes to redoin a boat.
I ordered 4 new seats and I'm gonna use 3 of them for the seating that goes across the boat, and 1 for a pedestal seat.
The 3 seats across didn't have the proper holes set up for my bracket. It's a 5 screw brachet and they are 2 inches apart. It has 3 screw holes 2 inches apart but nothing for the rnd screws. SO, I had th fabraciate 2 wooden blocks to go in the 2 end holes.
I cut them out of a 2x6 I had and not only had to cut it to shape but I had to cut it down on the width of the board as well.
I only have a have a hand saw, a copping saw and a wood rasp. I don't even have a vice down here to help hold the board and wood pieces for me to cut. So I think I did pretty good getting all six of those wood blocks cut for me to gorilla glue into place. But I got it all done though. Not real pretty but it's on the bottom of the seat so nobody is gonna see it anyway.

Yep, improvise, adapt and overcome. That's what we were taught.
Pretty innovative there,Saw. In most cases if we can just think and visualize the finished product we can come up with a solution. You did a good job thereβ¦πon
Good solution to your challenge Saw, that expanding Gorilla glue is the ticket. Has saved me more than once.
Those ought to work Saw, and you saved a few bucks at the same time, congrats! If they fail you can always make an adapter plate in the future.
