Shout out to all the anglers! Anyone in New England out there? I’m in southern NH. I love bass fishing - smallies are the best! And I love deep sea fishing for cod and haddock and near shore fishing for flounder/fluke.

Welcome NH. I just learned a few weeks ago that y'all have 18 miles of coast. I thought you were land locked.

Thanks Gordon - yes it’s a small but beautiful coastline that offers great fishing from shore or boat.

I also see where y'all have about 65 covered bridges. And that's on my bucket list to see.

It’s a beautiful part of the country! Lakes, mountains, ocean. There are worse places to live!

Welcome NH. The fishing stage is a wonderful forum, lot of good people with experience and fishing knowledge. Some good stories and jokes mixed in. New Hampshire is a beautiful state, had a good friend that lived there for many years, but I never fished there.

Are you anywhere near the Manchester area ? Can't help
much with the 'salt', but I can
point you to some decent areas
for LMs, smallies and trout !

Check with the state's F & G website, and one called All About Fishing
(aafishing.com) - on the F & G site
you will find bathymetric charts
(depth maps) for over 600 lakes/ ponds, statewide, with species listed for each and directions to each one !

For bass I would start with the Merrimack River, especially the
stretch from the railroad trestle
in Goffs Falls to the outflow of
Little Cohas Brook (just below
the airport) ! The Piscataquog
holds some decent bass and
crappie, along with trout ! Lake
Massabesic is a good spot for
LMs, 'smallies' and trout - I believe
there may also be pike in the lake,
as well !

PM me if you're looking for
directions or more specific information - I will try to help
as best I can !
