Fake? I'm not sure about that. Boycott if ya please. I personally don't take photos of myself and catch. Do photograph others. I just don't have any need. Will continue to assist others on this site, that's what I'm doing here.

I did not say you were fake, what I said is that the FS Digest posts are fake. In addition, the so called posters NEVER respond to questions that are asked of them and often questions are absurd, such as the earlier one today where the person asked if they should change their fish line every week.

You will never see a response to HenryG's request for photos and furthermore, unless the person is somehow handi-capped, fishing frogs is an easy activity.

I have responded to many of these FS Digest posts and have gotten very tired of them because they do not represent a real person. Really, you are not assisting others by responding to these posts.

The posts that come from user FS Digest...look at the first post...52893 posts by FS Digest. Other people here know what I am talking about.

This site just uses content from this user to fill space. I love to help people, but I also hate wasting my time on useless posts where the poster never responds.

Fishing by working a lure or bait will make your body sore! I've fished professionally for many years casting hundreds of time a day. Like any athlete, you have to build up to it with proper technique. This is not a bad post.

Cast and then retrieve while your rod support hand is in the sweet balanced spot on the rod.

Check the rod for this spot with the lure tied on. Lay the rod horizontal on your index finger. It will teeter high or low on the sides. Move the rod back and forth side to side until it balances horizontal.
This is your sweet spot.

For bottom water fishing, balance the rod so the tip end starts to tilt vertically high. It has done a lot of the leveraging for you.

The same technique for top water fishing where you want the tip pointed down so you can walk the dog. Balance the rod tip to point downward. Let the rod do part of the work for you.

The more times you cast, the more chances you have at catching more fish or cover more territory.

Keep a shoulder rub with you and take aspirin or ibuprofen to reduce the inflammation where you hurt.

If you just want to cast a bait and let it sit, then it really doesn't matter.

This was not a bad post.
Many fishermen will not push that hard to improve themselves.

An old saying: 20% of fishermen catch 80% of the fish.

Don't give up. Turn around and do it all over the next day.

Once again, for those who don't know.......
Several weeks ago, Admin admitted that ALL "FS Digest" posts are totally fake... made up by Admin, including giving us the "formula" for creating the "name".
I can only assume that "they" think it's both "helpful" and "useful".
I have to admit that despite that revelation, I still read the responses for an occasional useful tip from a well-meaning member, but more for the entertainment value of the attempts to "help" an obviously clueless newb making inane statements, requests, observations, and generally put out there to see if they can "get a rise" out of somebody.
More than likely, Admin is playing a game of "just how many posts can THIS generate ?", then laughing to themselves at the ludicrous query their somewhat-twisted minds came up with.....must be SOOOO pleased when it generates more than just a few responses.
Maybe not, on THIS one, huh ???
........ LOL & a hardy-har-har-har.

The REAL issue, as far as I am concerned, is that so very often, these ridiculous and deceptive thread posts usually (along with the ever present, endless rambling, plageristic "cut-and-pasted", "click on this for more" Ron620 posts) are usually at least 50% of the "Main Topics" section, apparently taking precedence over GENUINE QUERIES from REAL FS STAGE MEMBERS, who trust that pertinent info is forthcoming...... you can FIND these genuine asks in the "Newest Topics" at the top of the initial page of each day's forum you receive. I believe there were 204 there, when I logged in today !!!
Those "somewhat hidden" topics are legitimate posts, both inquisitive and "look what I caught" sharing types..... THE ACTUAL REASON WE ALL LOG IN, whether it be daily or occasionally, no matter.

I, personally, take great offense that a bogus b.s. thread displaces genuine interaction between the members, especially when it demonstrates someone's empathy output is usually going for naught.

I say ...join me in noticing that the "poster" is "FS Digest", read the mostly lame-ass query (notice that there is ALWAYS a query, never, EVER, a "here's a tip to make your life a bit easier/better/ hopeful/happy/content.... that's just so sad) and then MOVE ON DOWN THE LIST, WITHOUT A REPLY.

As long as y'all keep replying, they'll probably keep coming..... contentious folk live for the reaction, could not give 2 sh##s about the actual outcome..... Mamma told me to simply ignore that kind, maybe they'll just go away.

Hope springs eternal, don't it ?
