Napa yesterday

Ben and I went out to the Napa yesterday and the wind was blowin bout 20+mph it seemed.
First thing in the morning we started trollin a little ways from the dock. Go bout 100 yards and get a double hookup. We land those and I go back up where we started trollin and start again. Ben hooks up bout 60 seconds later. Haven't even been fishin hardly 5 min and we have boated 3 already. None were keepers though. Trolled on a ways further and then left that area.
Got out to the fishin grounds and the whitecaps were already bout a foot and a half.
Started driftin through the area and found small bunches of fish here and there. Would catch 3 or 4 here and then they were gone. Keep lookin and catch 3 or 4 there and then they were gone from there. Kept doin that till bout 2 pm. Caught lots of fish and kept 4. Two 19s , a 20 and 21 incher.
When we were leavin the whitecaps were nearly 3 feet out on the main body. Got a little wet on the ride back when I had to turn and go crosswise to the waves till we could turn and go back up river with the waves.
All in all we had a pretty good day though. Not too hot with the wind blowin all day.

You may have posted it in the past, but is there any chance you could post a photo of your boat?

Way to ride like the wind, Steve! I'm thinking about hitting the Napa on my kayak this weekend. Dunno if I am going Saturday or Sunday yet.

Saw you and Ben seem to get into them every time you go out. Not all may be keepers, but always sounds like you have Fun, even if you get a little wet from time to time. Thanks for the pics.
