Stared fishing about 2 weeks ago because I’ve always wanted to do it but never committed. I’ve been 3 times in two weeks and haven’t gotten a single bite.
My buddy and I are going to a local state park tomorrow morning around 6am to try to catch some bass. I was thinking I would try Texas rigging a worm and fishing it in and around some Lilly pads and other vegetation. Haven’t tried a Texas rig yet.
Are there different techniques for early morning/late night fishing and mid afternoon fishing?

Before you start throwing the worm, try some topwater, first thing. Poppers, Jitterbug, Spook, etc. If you have a weedless Hollow body Frog, throw that in and around the pads. Theres nothing like the topwater bite, early in the morning. Good luck and tight lines.

Easy top to use is Whopper Plopper. I like the “bone”color.
