Red power bait. It was a nice trout and all orange meat inside. Was all excite no sooner got there bang first fish. 7 hours later it was the only fish. Two bites one fish, but better than the skunk, slow for every one today. Seen only one guy with his limit but he got there a 0100 and left at 0900.

You early, how early were you there? This time of year bank fishin for trout can be really tough. Once the sun hits the water they're generally done.

Got there at 0400. Want to get a good spot plus beat the heat. Try to get there around 4 and fish until 10 or 11. By then getting hot plus people begin playing in the water .

Nice looking fish ranger! As you said, one is better than none! Have you ever tried worms with a Minnie marshmallow on the hook? The marshmallow lifts (floats) the bait off the bottom (if you’re bottom fishing) and the fish seem to like it as well.

Mostly bottom fish unless stream fishing , that day did try big fat earthworms but no go. Heard all about marshmallows but for some reason never tried them. Will have to put marshmallows on my to do list.

They work. Especially trout fishing. They hold your bait up off the bottom so it’s easily seen.

I have even used them with Samoneggs that was before power bait.
