New to the site. Hope all are well and have tight lines. Primarily fly fish in south and central Texas although the Missouri River in Montana is my favorite (and the best).

Welcome, Brangus.
So are you a cattleman ?
Back in the '60's we bought a lot of Brangus yearlings to put on grass for a season, before they got "finished" at the stockyard.
Always wanted my Dad to buy some straight Brahma (stupidly thought I would revive my Grandfather's rodeo stock and learn to ride bulls....hey, I was about 13 or 14, at the time... just a bit naive, huh ?......we bought ONLY steers, no bulls, silly boy). He said that the hybrid made for tasty stock, but less likely to need "special attention to the health".

I am. Have 2 Angus bulls and 32 Brangus cows. With calves, currently have 62 head on the ground. Small time. But keeps me busy as a second job. Always something to do.

I'm sure there is. Good on 'ya !
Our family has only 1or 2 cousins that run a cow/calf biz. As my Dad said, "something to deal with, sun up to sundown. While "grass-fed steers" need far less attention."
I believe we got our Brangus down your way. We have pastures in the Flint Hills of Kansas.
