My wife caught this at the mouth of the Colorado River on a piece of worm. 18.5 inches long. Didn't know flounder liked worms. not even a whole worm, just about an inch long piece.

After giving it just a little bit of thought I came up with the question, why not ? After all, all freshwater ends up in the ocean and fish are opportunistic predators, so if a worm ends up in the bay or ocean game on !!!

4 dinners if you aren't sharing. Nice going, but not so much for the worm.

Worms are used for winter flounder, weakfish and stripers in salt water.

Cause I had to carry the fish and she took the picture with her phone. Good point though. She should carry her own fish and I should be taking the photo. Have to remember that.

Tell your Wife good job. We call those Sand Sole here. Caught several today out on the Ocean doing a little bottom fishing. Had 3 at about 18โ€ and a couple smaler ones. They Filet just like a halibut but smaller. GreT eating. Nice Picture
