Hi, I've been reading the fishing stage posts for a couple weeks now. Enjoy fishing of all kinds in freshwater.

Went to Lake Don Pedro today, fishing was tough but managed to catch a few. The weirdest thing happened, reeled in a hard fighting spotted bass. Lifted it over the side of the boat ,it got off the hook landed on the carpet and was dead. I tried everything to revive it but nothing . Put it in the livewell with aerator and it was dead. Has this ever happened to any of you?

Welcome GD,
That is a new one, for sure! Cross-bred with a possum, maybe? 😉

Maybe it wanted to be buried in the garden, Native American style.

Welcome to the Stage Dave, glad you chose to join in. Jane not had one die like that in a boat, but have had a couple come off on shore and while flopping hit a rock and just go stiff, I usually just keep those for sure.
