I’m checking out this sight to help me find some good fishing spots and tips for my grandson and I. He’s ten and loves to fish.
Don't know where you are, not familiar with Warren or Ohio, but welcome to the stage Darlene. We got folks up your way and I'm sure they're gonna show up and help you out. Let us know what you want to fish for and do you have a boat or are you banking it. We would love to see some photos of that grandson and whatever he catches (or not).
We are bank fishing and really he just loves to fish. But he would love to catch a walleye.
Welcome, Darlene: I am sure there are fishermen/and women in your area. You might help your grandson start a worm farm. It would provide you with bait and be an interesting project for him. Just Sayin...RJS
Welcome aboard Darlene! From Warren, you've got Mosquito lake just to your North east that is known for walleye.

Welcome to the Stage Darlene. I have been thru Warren, but never fished there. We do have some excellent anglers in eastern Ohio and western PA. Someone will be along.

I can vouch for Mosquito lake. Limited out in about two hours in the rain with my nephew on walleye.
Welcome Darlene, not much help here, but hoping someone comes along to help you out soon.
Good luck!
Welcome aboard to the Stage Darlene. I've also heard that Berlin Lake also has walleye. Like someone else pointed out Mosquito Lake is good. I don't know if you're shore fishing or from a boat. I think most of the ones that catching walleye are from a boat. And there's Lake Erie, great for walleye. Tight lines and enjoy the time with your grandson.
Welcome! Wow, I've got relatives in Warren (and Niles). Don't know much about fishing that area but great that you can find something to do with your grandson! 👍

Welcome, Denise! Fellow fisherwoman/grandma here. My grandson and I fish together all the time. Enjoy, and I hope he gets his walleye!
Darlene 101 Mosquito as well as Pomatuming both are stocked with Walleye yearly. I’m going to be fishing Pomatuming soon. I’ll gladly give you any info I acquire. Send me a PM and I can steer you to some good shore spots to catch at! Fishing is great but with kids catching is key!
Hello Darlene, Mosquito Creek reservoir is in your back yard. I grew up fishing there. We always had good luck fishing for walleye off the causeway. Give it a try, I think you will like it. If you want to rent a boat and motor, Causeway Sportshop is a great place. Friendly people and loads of information too. Good luck!
