A few days camping at Silver Lake, Calif. in the June Lake Loop, hard fishing cold and very high winds, some gusts 45 MPH. But had a good time caught some nice browns, here are three. Plus for those you who have never seen the East Side of the Sierra Escarpment here it is. I call it Indian snow, Apache here and Apache there.

Yep, really pretty drive. I’ve fished all the above Dave. Had a jet ski toss my boy and me out of our canoe on Silver lake. Lost some gear but no injuries.

Nice fish ranger. But I’m a little confused cause the Silver lake and the June lake loop that I’m familiar with are almost 3 hours apart.

This is on HWY 395 along the East side of the Sierra Nevada. This Silver Lake is in the June Lake Loop. There is more than one Silver Lake in Calif. But you are right beautiful country.

There is more than one Silver Lake. This Silver Lake is in the June Lake Loop, within a few miles of each other you have Grant Lake, Silver Lake, Gull Lake, and June Lake. This is just south of the town of Lee Vining.
