A rewarding afternoon.
My NH fishing partner unexpectedly had a Triple Bypass Surgery late last week. Thankfully, he's doing well. His brother is his caretaker for a week, and a novice angler. He really wanted to get a little fishin' in while here in the neighborhood. So, this afternoon, during the peak of the heat, 92 degrees, I took him out for a while. Glad I did!
He landed a decent LM and a pickerel. Missed a few more.
I managed to catch and release several bass, a couple pickerel and nice yellow perch, as well as a sunny, the cycle.

Nice catching Fireguy, and great job taking the brother out and showing him some New England fun.

Very nice Fire. Thanks for Sharing the pictures and the story.
Glad to hear that your fishing partner is doing well after surgery! Very nice that you were able to get his brother out on the water and get into a variety of species...kind of like a grand slam! That yellow perch is particularly impressive...as well as the rest of the catch! Great photos and it looks like a very pleasant setting.

Looks like you boys had a fine day, so nice of you to take him out and give him the best therapy that exists.
Lovely day and a nice looking lake.

Fly,
A little 86 acre pond, a hidden gem, rarely fished. Ice fishing yields some really big bass, and a bunch of yellow perch. Even less fishing pressure then.
Nice to have a spot like that.
Yup! Especially when I can walk about 300 yards to get to it. Leave my jon boat and gear right there.
