Hello, all. Any inexpensive rod &reel combos for fishing in Jamaica Bay channels in Galveston? I have to outfit a lot of people. Looking in the 30-50$ price range for combos. We are renting fishing poles at the 61st street Pier but will need poles for the channels. And where is best to get live bait?

There are a great number of charters in Galveston, and where your party is more likely to catch fish. I recommend you Google "FISHING IN GALVESTON: Just Syin.. RJS.

Water was being severely rationed in the Dallas Area in the Mid 50's.The only source of water was old Lake Dallas. Then the rains came and flooded a lot of neighborhoods. After that the Army Corps of Engineers started building many of the lakes that Texans are enjoying today.

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 60-64 degrees; 0.21 low. Largemouth bass are good on bladed spinners, crankbaits, swimbaits, plastic frogs, and skirted jigs in 2-`12’. White and yellow bass are good with spoons and swimbaits in the creeks and feeder arms. Crappie are excellent on minnows and jigs near docks and creeks. Catfish are good on punch bait and cut bait in 4-14’.
