just to get away from corny jokes
why don't we tell what things we like
I'll start
--A hug in the morning and a goodnight kiss from Mama
makin every light on green
makin that perfect cast--below the bushes, instead of in them--LOL

Well, I don't think I would be real comfortable with cooking in my kitchen under green lights, or trying to tie my tackle in the man cave with green lights, but what I would like is catching another 25" rainbow on a # 22 fly.

The smell of mowed hay, freshly turned soil. Watching baby animals play, and of course the grandkids. A good rare steak, fried fish and blackberry pie. Sunsets and watching storms roll in. Oh, and catching a personal best!
Watching the sunrise, be it in a deer stand, duck blind, on a boat or on the first tee. The smell of birch bark or leaves as they fall gently to the ground. The genuine surprised look on the face of a stranger after you helped them for no apparent reason. The call of a loon as it swims across a lake at sunset. The look on the face of a child catching their first fish. The unconditional love of a baby or a dog when you come home from work after a trying day. The absolute joy of watching a good hunting dog in action. The whistling of the wings from a flock of ducks as they pass overhead, 2 minutes before legal shooting hours.
Watching sunrise or sunset, sleeping on a sailboat under the stars listening to the tinkling of the rigging on the mast

I like the second one in particular. A number of years ago I took a job in the hometown where I grew up which was 87 miles away. I had thought I might decide to move back "home" depending on how the job went etc.
From the home I was living in to my office there were 38 stoplights. Now, leaving home at 5:30am every morning usually worked pretty well in terms of "makin every light on green" but one morning, I showed up at our weekly staff mtg with the Superintendent and must have looked a little "agitated" He asks what's wrong and I reply, " I have 38 stoplights between my house and my office and i hit every F-ckin one of them this morning!" Man did he laugh

The smell of freshly brewed coffee or frying bacon, the sight of the stars on a clear moonless night, sunrise on the lake, flowers.
Watching TV with Jane and the pups and Bass hitting on top.
A week on Lake Powell with good friends. The smile on your grandson's face when he catches his first limit of rainbows.

I took a date duck hunting once. NOTHING prettier than watching the sun come up, see the world come to life, hear the pheasants cackling and hearing the whistling rush of duck feathers over your head.
