Hey fellow anglers. I am hoping to get some new crankbaits, but the amount of brands and prices on the market is fooling me. What are some recommendations for best brand for the price? Also, I live in southeastern WI, and I have no idea what colors would be good when there is almost 20 for every brand. Any help would be appreciated!

I don’t know the type of water or area that you plan on fishing 🎣 but you might want to ask some of the local bait shops and other fishermen in your area on this topic good luck 👍

Strike king and Bill Norman are really good crankbaits for a decent price. All depth ranges perform well

Would help to find out what type of forage is in the lakes you plan to fish. Then get some of varying depths to match. Also red craw patterns in spring are good and bright colors for dingy water.

Again I don’t know where you are or your lake makeup
Color wise. Natural Shad finish and something bright. Like fire tiger, or clown.
Use the natural in clear. Use the bright in stained water or when sunlight is low level.

My go to when I have no idea what they are hitting and the water is clear to stained is sexy Shad.

If I only had one color it would be sexy Shad

Try shad imitation colors, perch pattern,
bluegill, even crappie ep. I fish southern wisc, these work well for me, shallow to mid depth, chartreuse in deep water, or a rattling crankbait, 10-12# fluorocarbon, 7'-7'6" medium action fiberglass for deep, composite for shallow to mid depth
