New to the area and trying to find a beach area that’s easy to get in and out of . I want to learn inshore fishing and my wife wants to take in the sun . We are both getting up in age and do not get around that well anymore .
If anyone can help us out on this it would be great .

Welcome to the Forum, Rdog. Well,,,,,, FL. has a lot of beaches, one thing I would suggest is to get a good beach cart, one with wide wheels so that it wheels easier in the sand.

Welcome Rdog. I wish I could help you but I understand your desire to fish inshore. I used to strictly surf fish but for the past 15 or so years I mainly fish inshore. I love it. Unfortunately I'm only familiar with North Carolina. There is several members of the Forum from Fla. so I'm sure help is on the way. Good luck and tight lines.

Take A1A up to the inlet and do some pier fishing while she sits and suns.

Yes, drive north towards Sebastian and eventually you will find some beach access on the south side of the inlet. Then there is jetty fishing and pier fishing in the channel under the bridge. It's a state park at that point, so best have you license with you.

Welcome! I used to live in Vero Beach (left in 2010). The Indian River offers some good opportunities in Vero. If you drive a bit South to Jensen Beach, I can remember a LOT of Snook being caught off of the bridge that leads out to Hutchinson Island. Of course Surf Fishing on the beach is always a lot of fun. Stay safe and enjoy.

I'm south of you, Jensen Beach. There are many beaches between you and I to surf fish from. The problem is the fishing has been down right lousy so far this year. Your lucky if you catch a pompano and a few whiting. Even the bridges over the Indian River has been so slow most of the regular retired guys quit going. We keep trying hoping it will pickup. Good luck out there.

Dirty water and terrible fishing in the rivers. The Ocean and Inlets are OK! Try ocean charter head boats! Good Luck!

There was an awful ocean red tide and a fish kill in the rivers last year.
