That is a pork fish. They are common from Florida on down to Brazil. Beautiful underwater.

Missed your post yesterday. That's a Pork Fish as Silversail said. It is good eating. catch them in the Keys every year. Was checked by FWS one year and they said they are legal if you have them in a live well. They are considered a Aquarium fish.

We caught those in Miami and used them for bait fishing the off shore wrecks for Amberjack. The guide called them pinfish.

then the guide is a morron. that's no more a pin fish than it is a pork fish. It's a grunt, just like several FF savvy members mentioned. Order of pics: pin fish, pork fish, grunt

Your middle fish is a Pork Fish. That is what her picture is. Just saying. I dont see any black stripes on the face of the grunts face. Grunts have small stripes between the yellow stripes pork fish have wider stripes
