"Bare foot" ?...no dummy..... it's "BOOT foot" or sock foot. And his "whip cast" is further evidence of a guy hoping to come across as "an expert giving advice"...epic fail, imo.
BTW.. "hip waders", ATTACH at your hip, but are only good to just above the knee, at best, perhaps mid-thigh on you tall guys.

Good comment, FixorFish. Also, an "expert" doesn't risk throwing his
shoulder out of joint with that amateurish cast and knows how to cast
without moving his upper arm.

This video was about as about as useful as "How to Use a Pencil Eraser."
