I have lived in Texas, California, Washington, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Alabama and known many good people in all those states. Even in Viet Nam there were good people. People are just people everywhere good ones & bad ones. All of them had some good fishing just different. Fished Canyon and Medina lakes in Texas.
Tell them you are a political refugee.
Isn't it also the new fruit capital next to San Francisco?
I lived in Abilene for almost 9 years. Texas is huge, and I fished all over the state. Learned how to Bass & Crappie fish there. It's like any place you go, ends up being what you make it.
Never ask a man where he’s from. If he’s from Texas, he’ll tell you. If not there’s no sense embarrassing him. 🤣

Hey there, TerryO. Glad to know there’s another FSer close by. I’m in Crane.
I live in the Hill Country. I’ve worked all over Az. Just don’t see the comparison.
Over The Christmas holidays I drove down to Sonora and filled my freezer with axis dear.
You can find great bass fishing all over Tx. The only thing that sucks is there aren’t any trout. Sure you can catch hatchery fish in a few places, but who wants a hatchery fish?

Welcome aboard L2k. Some times hatchery fish is all you have access to. Enjoy.
