What kinda sinker is this. Where would you use it. Why are they made in that shape. How do you determine what size to use. How do you rig it. What all size do they come in. Unscramble this and itโ€™s a good place to take a kid

Pyramid sinker usually used when surf fishing. From 1 oz to 6 oz that I have seen.

Definitely a pyramid sinker, and used for sandy bottoms or swifter bodies of water. I use them on the Coast for surf fishing for Perch.

Itโ€™s used for fishing on the bottom usually in saltwater to catch drum, reds, most any type of bottom feeder. It doesnโ€™t move around much while on the bottom. The point of it sticks in the sand or mud. I usually rig it to sit on bottom with my bait being on a short leader about a foot off bottom. I used to take my kids fishing a lot until they lost interest.

Pyramid sinker used in sandy bottoms on slider for cats and sturgeon or surf to hang up and bury itself. Take a kid fishing.

Yep. That's a pyramid . I have them from .5 Oz to 18 Oz. And yes I have a rod that can cast it in the surf, and I have used it.

Triangle weight used for shoreline fishing. Good for long casts and keeping your bait in place with strong wave action. Stronger the currents the bigger the weight.

And sometime even that doesn't help.
