Hi all! New to AZ looking for fishing reports and info for Lake pleasant. Hows the fishing this time of year? Also looking for reports for Canyon & Bartlett lakes Thank you! Much appreciated
Welcome SK. Sorry I cant help ya. Give them time others will chime in. Ya might Google or YouTube never know what you might find on there
Welcome Steve. Not familiar with those lakes so I can't help you. Good luck. Watcha fishin for?
Fishing in Jan and into Feb will be difficult. Jan is pretty much a dead month at Bartlett and Pleasant (can’t help with Canyon as I don’t go there). Things will pickup in Feb. I use this time to practice slow, slow gigging and worming (and just enjoying being out!)....
Went to Bartlett this am (well sorta, got there after 9). My partner in crime (both with 30 yrs experience there) were blown away! I said Jan was always a dead month, fish-wise, and have never experienced this! In 2 hrs (cuz we were actually there to test some repairs on buddy’s boat) we caught 18 nice Bartlett bass (between 1 1/2 to 2 lbs). Know this as we took 12 home to fillet and weighed them. Caught them just as you make the right turn past Bartlett Flats going towards the river (on the right hand bank). Most on 3/8ths gigs plus a few on Z Man Hulla Sticks with a #2 split shot pinnd right at the hook, and right on shore! Kept boat in about 10’ casting forward right to shore and slowly working it back in 3-6’ of water. I’ve never seen this happen at this time of year!!! Hope this gives ya some ideas, but, don’t depend on it happening again!
