After Huntem22 Grandaughters elk shootin, it reminded my of my daughter.
Wanted to post a target she sent me for Christmas 2003 from Iraq.
She was walking along one day in Iraq when her Sgt pulled up in a Humvee with some more guys in it and ask her when was the last time she had qualified with her rifle. She said she didn't know/wasn't sure.
He told her to get in as they were headed to the range to qualify with their weapons.
When it was her turn, she starts to shoot and after 7 shots, her Sgt stops her and says" Who taught you how to shoot Corporal."
She looked at him and said, " My Dad."
He then said " Well, stop wasting ammunition... Next."

The target is simulated for 300 meters Army qualification.
She fired 7 shots, 7 hits, 5 holes. Alright.

She framed it and sent it to me for Christmas that year... Boy, what a tough one that was.

Yeah Saw, you've posted some pics of you and your GD at one of the lakes, I believe. I don't remember any with your daughter thought.

That was with her issued M16, open sights.
That's what I shot when I was on the rifle pistol team in the Air Force, '71-'75.
I'm sure it is an upgraded model though.

Open sights at 300 meters? That would be amazing beyond my wildest dreams.
