Hey my friends with wet socks, This week I started out in Pollock Pines, Ca. on Wednesday at a place called Forebay and slipped in the mud and fell on my butt. Kept sliding till both feet were in the water Hahaha. No luck fishing so we packed up and headed on Hwy 49 to Sutter's mill in Coloma, Ca. between Auburn and Placerville. This river called Lotus ( First pic ) was so peaceful and beautiful. No kayakers or rafters on the water first time ever for me. Place was clean. No luck.

Thursday we went to Folsom lake with the raft to a place called Browns ravine (second pic). Lake was very low but just drifting on the water , do some casting then some rowing , more casting. Didn't matter if the fish were biting or the raft was sinking. Good fishing trips.

By the way, When I was sliding down the bank headed for the big drink, I was told it was some funny sht and could I do it again for the camara. hahaha

Looks like home to me Dman, I've been to all them places. With pretty much the same result, although I didn't slide down any wet banks. Thanks for the photos.

Spirit and Dman ... do you think the fish are outnumbered by mankind. Or they just need t be planted again.

Interesting question. There's about 40 million of us Californians down here, plus people coming in from all over the world to fish our waters. I'd like to see an estimate. I used to regularly fish a couple of lakes that I know aren't stocked and I did pretty well. I went to one of those this past spring and the skunk followed.
