I plan to deliver Thanksgiving meals for the Salvation Army. It is rewarding and sometimes a real lesson in humility. One year I took dinner to a man who flew the first Hellcat into battle against the Japanese Zeros. That made all my life's problems seem so puny. It is a good thing to do and makes for a good day.

You are a good Man, Smokey! Thank You!
Smoky your Hellcat mentioning sparked a memory.
I was TDY in Honduras back in the 70's and they must of had 1/2 of our old P 51'S. Visions of what they went through went through my mind back in there day. The other 1/2 of the P 51's must have been in San Salvador because the following month I was there and saw different tail #'s.
Honduras and San Sal were at war with each other and we were supporting both sides. Never found out how that works, my main objective was fix plane and get out of dodge.
Oh forgot to Thank You in advance for your time you will be spending with the Salvation Army. I salute you my friend.
That is a great thing you are doing smoke there is lots of people out there that would not have a meal with out people like you.
The people of Meals on Wheels are amazing. Most of them use their own cars and buy their own fuel, six days a week.
