Good mornin' everyone. If this forum is a bragging board then I have to brag. Most of you know that I'm from S.E. MN., Caledonia to be exact. The State Championship Football Play offs began last night. Caledonia is the four time defending 2A State Champion and currently hold the National Record of 66 consecutive game victories. The Caledonia Warriors kicked off and Pipestone received the ball and marched it right down to the goal line in like a 1/2 doz. plays. Holy Crap! The Warriors have never let a team score on them in the first half all year and have never been behind a team for a number of years. What's the deal? Well,,,,,,, the Warriors scored the next seven times that it had the ball and was leading 49 - 6 at half time. They put the JV in at the start of the 3rd quarter and the game ended up 56 - 14. I know that the reign will end. I used to be the Wrestling coach here and we had the State Record of 83 consecutive dual meet victories until Decorah, IA. beat us in 1976. All good things will come to an end sooner or later, but it is an enjoyable ride. Have a good day!
