Here in the Carolinas, we call them a Roach shiner or trash fish. Not good to eat, but excellent Bass and catfish bait.

I caught a 10 + pound LMB on one in Lake Toho Florida.... still a PB for me!

Looks like a baitfish we in Florida call a Shiner. Roland Martin in His fish camp on Lake Okeechobee, uses these shiners to catch monster largemouth Florida Strain Bass. Ten pounders are rather common there.
